By reinventing the world of stationery using the leading trends in fashion and home décor, Boatman Geller has whole-heartedly taken on the world of fine stationery. The stationery's clean lines, colorful patterns, and delightful icons create snapshots of the good life. As founder Jane Boatman Geller explains it, I wanted to create a sense of a lifestyle—rooms draped in toile, little boys in brightly colored rugby shirts, football fans wrapped in a warm plaid blanket, girlfriends gathering for a cocktail or two. After all, her designs combine her love for the classics, while taking on a fresh approach to traditional patterns, and whimsical illustrations.
After a successful career in design at Elizabeth Arden in New York City, Jane made the move to Seattle to unite with the love of her life, and now husband and business partner, Greg Geller. In 2002, while living in Seattle, Boatman Geller was born out of Jane's own creative drive and her desire to fulfill a niche in the marketplace. Soon after, the pair made their move to Jane's hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana, where Greg decided to join in his wife's business that was creating quite the buzz.
Jane's inspirations come not only from her cherished memories of beach vacations to Nantucket, her years as a young designer in Manhattan, and her big move to Seattle, but from the births of she and Greg's three daughters, Isabelle, 7, Anna, 5 and Charlotte, 1. It is these experiences that create the simple elegance of Boatman Geller collections and make them perfect for celebrating the special occasions in life, as well as those "everyday" moments that inspire our dreams.
Today, Boatman Geller is enjoyed by nearly 2,000 accounts across the nation and overseas. With its ever-changing, original designs at the forefront of the industry, Boatman Geller keeps its devoted customers coming back again and again and wondering, "what are they going to do next?"
